Shout to Monster Films and Vladtv for putting visuals on a classic joint by Nice & Smooth. This is also an idea we here at Crazyhood.com have been wanting to do, which is put visuals to golden era records. Adding visuals to these older records could inspire the youth to bring Hip Hop music back to basics and put it back on it's original trajectory. Then again putting a bunch of older MC's on an HD screen to relive their hay days might not do the job. With that said, the truth is a lot of those same older MC's can out spit most of these younger MC's out today!

My affinity for West Coast Hip Hop has only been heightened by the discovery of OFWGKTA. Thanks to my homie Wrekonize (of ¡Mayday!) who put me on to these dudes the other day; I can honestly say I am way late on knowing about these dudes but I am just happy to be in the know now! These dudes take all the elements you would expect from a wild bunch of L.A. kids and put it into music, and visuals. I found myself likeing their hilarious video clips of them just talking shit just as much as the songs I have heard so far. It's this kind of blunt, raw, be ya self attitude that gave Hip Hop its allure to start with. Even though some, even themselves, might categorize this outside of Hip Hop, I think this is as raw form of Hip Hop as you can get! Seems the world is a buzz with these dudes as they are touring the East Coast, doing MTV interviews, Kanye West co-signs, and did their TV debut on Fallon with The Roots backing them (hit the jump for that clip). "If ya don't know, now ya know"!
