MUSIC: HECKLER - NO JOKE (DA ALBUM)

 >> Crazy Blogs Posted 6/10/2011 by crazyhood.

It almost seem that this day would never arrive but finally Heckler's debut solo album 'No Joke' has arrived. Although this is the free street version, we finally get a glimpse at what Heckler has been up to. An extended version is expected to hit Itunes in the coming months so make sure to grab this one while its up. Heckler keeps it simple and does what he does by painting an exact picture of what his life and mindset is about at this moment in time. Featured on the album are N.O.R.E., Garcia, DJ EFN, Webbz, Shadowman and the Miami Hip Hop legend Society (Yes-n-Deed). The album keeps production close to home with production strictly by Liquid Shield and Crazy Hoods own Big Drain. The project is executive produced by DJ EFN & Nick Fury HD as well as recorded, mixed and mastered by Nick Fury HD for Liquid Shield.. Hit the jump for the full track listing. Enjoy!

MUSIC: DJ EFN FEAT. RAS KASS - CORLEONE (PROD. BY NICK FURY HD)

 >> Crazyhood Posted 12/8/2010 by crazyhood.

DJBOOTH: If there’s one thing mob movies have taught us, it’s that there’s no escaping from your past; no matter how far you run, family ties will pull you back into the fray. A Miami mixtape mainstay (and first-time featuree) well-versed in gangster cinema, DJ EFN and the suddenly ubiquitous Ras Kass draw inspiration from the Godfather trilogy’s Michael Corleone on this newly-leaked cut, a Booth-exclusive world premiere. Over the fittingly cinematic, string-laced boardwork of Nick Fury HD, the West Coast veteran does his best Mafia don impression, showing off his Italian vocab (plus a little French and Spanish) and his pop-reference game (that’s the first Chris Farley name-drop I’ve heard in a minute) as he details the trials and tribulations of life on the throne. Like what you’re hearing? You might not be able to kiss DJ EFN’s ring through the computer screen, but you can do the next best thing: pick up a copy of his Booth-sponsored Diggin in the Tapes compilation album when it hits our mixtape page for free streaming and download December 16.

 >> 305 Music Posted 8/18/2010 by crazyhood.

Omniscient makes the wake up call today with "Watch Out!", his latest single off his upcoming album Social Work. His wake up call focuses on the music industry, world politics and himself as an emcee through these times where progression is the key to success. Nick Fury HD returns to his basic bare knuckle hit style of production this aggressive track. Its like stepping in the octagon with Rampage Jackson- powerful with no excuses. NICK FURY HD INTERVIEW WITH 24HOURHIPHOP

 >> 305 Related Posted 6/8/2010 by crazyhood.

Check out this interview with our long time friend and producer; Nick Fury HD did with 24hourhiphop:

How did you get your start in the industry?

My initial start came from doing a remix on a remix project for a group called the East Flatbush Project. The song was called Tried by 12 released by Indie label Chocolate Industries. it was the first project that I did that was released internationally and it definitely got my name out 7 put me in the game.

Who were some of the artists/musicians, etc. that inspired you to get into the music industry?

When I first moved to New York from England as a small kid I remember hearing Run DMC and being mesmerized by the beats and vocals. as I grew older I was influenced by listening to HipHop, Drum & Bass & TripHop but after I  moved to Miami from Barbados I remember taking a studio class with Mecca aka Grimo (he used to be called Nasty Ness back then( laughs) and we had to do a studio project for class. I had no equipment but I had selected some records to make the song. Mecca gave them to his boy (Detrix) who had an SP 1200 and we put it together and that was my first taste of production that led me to work with early Miami HipHop groups and solo artists such as True & Living, Black Kaktus, Mundi Dialect, Black Media, Ill seed, Brimstone, Da ALL, SAS, SLP, J Pure,  Elohim, Science Room, Dynas,  Skam & Shadow who really believed in my production and gave me the co-sign to take the music game seriously.

What kinds of equipment have you used in the past and what do you use now?  I first learned to use equipment when I was going to school at Miami Dade College in the sound engineering program they had over there. CONTINUE READING......
