MUSIC: HECKLER - NO JOKE (DA ALBUM)

 >> Crazy Blogs Posted 6/10/2011 by crazyhood.

It almost seem that this day would never arrive but finally Heckler's debut solo album 'No Joke' has arrived. Although this is the free street version, we finally get a glimpse at what Heckler has been up to. An extended version is expected to hit Itunes in the coming months so make sure to grab this one while its up. Heckler keeps it simple and does what he does by painting an exact picture of what his life and mindset is about at this moment in time. Featured on the album are N.O.R.E., Garcia, DJ EFN, Webbz, Shadowman and the Miami Hip Hop legend Society (Yes-n-Deed). The album keeps production close to home with production strictly by Liquid Shield and Crazy Hoods own Big Drain. The project is executive produced by DJ EFN & Nick Fury HD as well as recorded, mixed and mastered by Nick Fury HD for Liquid Shield.. Hit the jump for the full track listing. Enjoy!

93' TILL: LETS START FROM THE TIPPY (THE C.H.P. STORY)

 >> Crazy Hood Posted 10/16/2010 by crazyhood.

The above picture is of a make shift digging in the crates, tapes, mini discs, dats and cd's set up I have created in my crib. I am currently in the process of moving offices and I have uncovered many old recordings, both by my own crew and other artist. These posts labeled "93' Till" will be posts of what I uncover going through these recordings. You might ask why I call it "93' Till" and if the post are inspired by Souls Of Mischief and their song of the same title. The answer is "not really" as the title of that song is just a perfect fit being that 1993 is the year I founded Crazy Hood Productions. When I hear that song nowadays, it transports me to that exact time when that song came out and me singing along loud and proud, exclaiming that Crazy Hood was going to be around 93 - till! Who would of thought seventeen years later Crazy Hood Productions would of developed to carve its own mark in Miami's Hip Hop history and still be around to tell the tale.

In this first post of "93' Till" I bring you one of the first tracks recorded by Da Alliance (aka DA ALL) circa 1994/95. The track is called "Live & Uncut" and features the first two members to make up Da Alliance; Heckler and Wierd Thoughts. Big Drain produced for Da Alliance but was still doing Poetik Symbolz (The first group I ever managed) and I was just organizing everything but shortly after we both officially joined the group. Then I am going to jump a couple years to another record called "Spanish Fly" by Da Alliance which features First Poet. First Poet was a young promising female MC that worked with Mother Superia (read about Mother Superia & Miami's lost Hip Hop scene) and began working closely with Crazy Hood until we parted ways forcing us to re-do the record and replacing First Poet with a NY MC by the name of Staxx Cordero. The last record was recorded around the same time as "Spanish Fly" and is one of the first recordings by this artist with Crazy Hood. You might know him as GARCIA but at the time of this recording he was a young "Severe" later changing to "Gambit" and finally using his last name as his stage name; GARCIA.

Many of you might not give a damn about these records and you might even judge the quality of the music. For me, these recordings remind me why I do this. The feeling I had just going into the studio and creating. We were young aspiring kids just trying to make our mark and as corny as that might sound its true. I believe in some aspects we have done more than left our mark! Crazy Hood Productions 93-Till!
