DJ EFN HELPS KRS ONE GET THE CROWD READY IN MIAMI (VIDEO)

 >> ninetieshiphop Posted 5/7/2013 by crazyhood.

This past Friday KRS ONE, like usual, brought the house down at The Stage Miami in the Wynwood area of Miami, Florida. Prior to KRS jumping on stage Crazy Hoods own Garcia jumped on stage to do a couple joints and brought Danay Suarez (from Cuba and from CHFA's documentary film 'Coming Home') to the stage for an incredible freestyle session. DJ EFN joined Garcia and Danay on stage and as soon as Garcia and Danay walked of stage KRS ONE stormed the stage and turned to DJ EFN to help him get the crowd ready. KRS ONE then told EFN it was good to see him and that it had been 10 years since the two had linked. KRS went on to doing an incredible show. Shouts to our homie Godfree for the video!

ERICK SERMON TALKS HIT SQUAD & ROCK THE BELLS (VIDEO)

 >> ninetieshiphop Posted 6/20/2012 by crazyhood.

This clip of Erick Sermon talking about the Hit Squad took me back! The Hit Squad was a big influence in the creation of Crazy Hood Productions. Prior to taking music serious our crew called itself the Hit Squad. The name was short lived since we knew we were biting their name! LOL I have to agree with Erick Sermon in saying they were one of the first of their kind with the exception of Ice T's Rhyme Syndicate. I am looking forward to Rock The Bells this year and I think I am going to enjoy it as a regular fan! Stay tuned for content like this on our new upcoming site 90shiphop.com!!!

SEAN PRICE LIVE IN MIAMI (VIDEO)

 >> ninetieshiphop Posted 9/17/2010 by crazyhood.
Here's footage from the Sean Price and Sadat X show at White Room last week. This is the same show the Garcia and Heckler rocked but unfortunately for us the sound was not up to par for our drummer and Dj! Either way, its always good to have artist like Sadat X and Sean P visit the bottom of the map! Shout to DGTLXWW for this!

SMIFF-N-WESSUN & PETE ROCK ALBUM CONFIRMED

 >> ninetieshiphop Posted 12/21/2009 by ninetieshiphop.
We got the same card mentioned below by HipHopDx. Hit the jump to see image.

In their annual holiday card, Duck Down Records made some important announcements. The label, founded by Dru Ha and Black Moon's Buckshot will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2010. In honor of that, the thriving indie announced some of it's releases for the benchmark year.

After last week's confirmation of a Ruste Juxx & Marco Polo album The eXXecution, the label is also planning releases from Kidz In The Hall (The Land Of Make Believe), General Steele (Amerikkka's Nightmare Part 2) and Sean Price (Mic Tyson). With all but the last planned to be released in February and March, the Manhattan-based label did reveal that they will be both releasing Random Axe (Guilty Simpson, Sean Price and Black Milk's group), as well as rumored collaborative LP between Smif N Wessun and iconic Hip Hop producer and remixer Pete Rock.

In April, Steele told DX, "We’re excited about doing the project, this our fifth album. We thought about it, we were like ‘Alright, we can do it two ways: we can have Da Beatminerz do the album, or we can have Pete Rock do the album.’ We thought about, ‘Well, since Beatminerz is going to be doing the next Black Moon album, then we probably just need to do something a little different.”

He elaborated, “We couldn’t think of anyone else. There are a lot of producers that I respect, but it had to make sense. We didn’t want to reach for the stars, so to speak, and it seemed like we were trying to step out of being Smif-n-Wessun. Everybody knows we’re the grimy duo from Brooklyn, we all know that. We’re smoking, Timberland cats, but we also party, we’re also family, we’ve also got children, we’ve also got ladies."

A title and specific date has yet to be released.
